M. David Halpern Esquire is the President of Equity Concepts North, LLC. Prior to forming ECN he was the managing partner of the law firm of Jubelirer, Carothers, Krier & Halpern where he served as general council for many Central Pennsylvania business and professional corporate clients. He specialized in business operations, succession and estate planning and has has extensive experience in the legal issues of physicians.

He holds a B.S. degree in business administration from the Pennsylvania State University, Juris Doctor from Dickenson School of Law and is certified as a mediator from Pepperdine University School of Law.

As an attorney, he gained recognition of his peers on the many committees of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and served as the Chair of one. The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania honored him by an appointment as a member of the Pennsylvania Disciplinary Board and during his tenure elevated him to the position of Chair.

The background and experience as a practicing attorney brings insights and experience to Equity Concepts North that enable our clients to enjoy financial planning at its highest level.

James E. Ellis
Wealth Manager

James E. Ellis, a veteran of the financial services industry, brings nearly a decade of experience to ECN. Jim Ellis is a graduate of the 300yr Anniversary Class of The College of William & Mary in Virginia. Jim is first and foremost an Economist, with an additional Bachelor's degree in Russian Studies. He is well-traveled throughout Europe, Eastern Europe and Russia.

Having lived, studied and worked in St. Petersburg Russia. Jim's technical experience, his enthusiasm for knowledge of the financial world, as well as his keen insights into investor psychology add yet another dimension to ECN's approach on holistic planning.

Amy E. Parker
Operations Manager

Amy E. Parker is the Operations Manager of Equity Concepts North, LLC. Prior to joining ECN in 2001, Amy had been working in the administrative side of the financial industry for 15 years. At ECN Amy's vital function is to oversee all compliance-related matters as they pertain to the general office and to ensure that all the necessary details needed to effectuate a client's economic plan are in proper placement.

Anita K. Ickes
Relationship Manager

Anita K. Ickes is the Relationship Manager for ECN. She is a vital link between the advisors and our clients. Anita's primary function is to insure that ECN and the clients are in regular communication so that all are aware of what is necessary to effectuate the client's goals. Anita's confidence and enthusiasm makes every client contact a world class experience.
